something we should have done a year ago...

Sometimes, those of us who recently moved to Pittsburgh have trouble acclimating. (Hint: like the three of us in the photo below.) My new-found favorite way to describe this area is that the hills are just high enough to be claustrophobic and not high enough to be inspiring. 

However, since we all moved here over a year ago, we feel like we can't complain and consider ourselves newcomers--and now we're determined to re-see this city. 

So on Saturday, we checked out one of the "touristy" things to do in the city: the Duquesne Incline. It's this old trolley car that goes up and down one of the claustrophobic hills. Along the way, it gives a great view:

Also, Pittsburgh and Venice have something in common: both of them are known as cities of bridges. Really, the rivers and the city are amazingly beautiful--especially from this angle. Makes me want to find a canoe and a paddle and a lazy Saturday afternoon...
