News flash from writing tips and ideas: Blog!

Though somewhat controversial in some circles, blogs are known within creative writing circles as being a great way to a) self-publish, b) write every day, and c) promote your writing on a resume. No longer are they only a form of self-expression, a way for people to know what's going on in your life, an online journal, or whatever else you may use yours for, blogs have professional components. Highlighted, this professional value is somewhat obvious, but it is nice to be reminded of the validity of writing words, publishing them, and wondering what happened to them.

In many ways, writers are isolated critters, locked away with their words as they test each sentence with dental instruments and try to articulate the ideas rolling around in their minds. To read another writer's blog is to be reminded that your writer's block is not permanent, and it will eventually disintegrate. Or it is to be inspired by a breath-taking sentence that acts as a muse for your own poem. To share your own words is often an inspiration for others...

...thus literature is created, and it goes on and on, a great dialogue through the ages.
